PHOTO & VIDEO
Media permission, clearly explained.
Choose how each child may appear in NextGen photography, video and social content.
Your choice
Photography, video and social-media use are three separate, optional choices and are not a condition of joining NextGen Academy. None is selected for you. A separate decision is recorded for every child you add.
What each permission covers
Photography permits still images to be captured during academy activities. Video permits moving images and sound to be captured. Social-media permission permits suitable approved photographs or videos to be published on NextGen's official social channels; it does not override a declined photography or video choice.
Safeguarding controls
Content is selected with children’s dignity, safety and safeguarding in mind. NextGen will avoid publishing sensitive medical information, home addresses or unnecessary identifying details. Staff must follow academy safeguarding and content-handling procedures.
Child-specific decisions
Permission can be different for each child in a family. If permission is declined for a child, that child is shown in the management permission register so staff can plan photography appropriately. Declining permission does not affect access to coaching.
Changing your decision
You can update a child’s permission in the family portal. Each change creates a new dated record without deleting the previous decision, giving NextGen a clear audit history. A new decision applies to future use after it has been received and processed.
Content already published
Withdrawing permission cannot always remove printed material already distributed or content already shared by others, but NextGen will take reasonable steps to stop new use and remove content from channels it controls where practical and lawful.
Storage and access
Media and permission records are accessible only to authorised people and service providers who need them for academy operations. Retention periods follow NextGen’s privacy and safeguarding requirements.
Version and questions
This permission notice is effective from 21 July 2026. The policy version and exact decision time are retained with the family and child record.
